November, 2003 marked the official opening of our new facilities in Lake Parker Park.. Many members of Lakeland City Council attended. Also senior Parks Department officials, Bill Tinsley and Pamela Page were on hand who's dedication and drive were instrumental in providing us with this beautiful complex.
Tom Shaw, the retiring Parks and Recreation director and a friend of lawn bowling for many years has the complex named for him.
